BILLINGS – Saturday’s game between Hardin and Billings Central’s boys is one of the most anticipated matchups of the season.

The Eastern A rivals played three close games last year, including a 47-43 Hardin win in the State A championship. Both look like the class of the Eastern A once again, so Saturday’s winner will get the first leg up.

“I’m pretty sure that rematch has been on everybody’s schedule since the final buzzer went off last year – I know it’s been on mine,” said Hardin head coach Andrew Round Face. “Central’s just a tough team every year. They really are a measuring stick for us to see where we’re at.”

That is a very big stick so far, as Hardin is 6-0 on the season, with their closest win coming by 23 points. But Central is 5-1, with their lone loss coming against Class AA opponent Billings Skyview.

“It’s really fun playing against them, and having all the best competition out there on the court,” said Hardin guard Famous Left Hand. “It’s just a fun atmosphere to be in.”

The two teams square off at Rimrock Auto Arena at 7:30 p.m.
