HELENA- The Helena High Bengals boys basketball team dropped Friday’s matchup against the Billing Skyview Falcons, 57-48, in Class AA action.
Early in the first quarter, both teams seemed evenly matched, tied at eight with just over four minutes left in the first quarter. The Falcons dominated the rest of the quarter, ending the first on a 13-0 run to put Skyview up 21-8.
Helena High shaped up following the first quarter and outscored the Falcons 35 -30 in the final three frames of the contest, but the lead Skyview built up in the first quarter was enough to secure the victory.
Neither Helena High nor Billings Skyview will have the luxury of rest, as the Falcons take on the Helena Capital Bruins and the Bengals will take on the Billings Senior Broncs; both on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.
