BILLINGS -- The Billings West volleyball team defeated Bozeman in four sets on Thursday night at the Golden Dome in Billings to earn the Eastern AA's No. 2 seed headed into the playoffs.
Billings West took the first two sets by narrow margins -- 25-23, 26-24 -- before dropping the third set to Bozeman 21-25. West rallied to win the fourth set, 25-19, to finish off the Hawks.
The No. 2 seed Billings West earned will be utilized in a one-game playoff format to determine the Eastern AA's four seeds for the State AA tournament in Bozeman in November. Top-seeded Great Falls CMR has clinched the conference's top seed. Billings West will host the No. 7 team in the conference at season's end.
