BILLINGS — The streak is over. Jillian Hust scored in the 79th minute Tuesday to give Billings West a 3-2 win over Billings Skyview, snapping the Falcons' 25-match unbeaten streak.

Hust put West ahead 1-0 just eight minutes into the match with a chip goal over Skyview's onrushing goalkeeper Lainey Bosch. Skyview's Halle Labert equalized late in the half, and the Falcons then took a 2-1 lead moments later, as Ashton Kelsey capitalized on a scramble in the West box.

The Falcons led 2-1 late into the game, until the Bears earned a penalty kick that Bosch originally saved, but West tapped home the rebound to tie the game at 2-2, paving the way for Hust's game-winner.

The loss is Skyview's first since the 2017 State AA third-place match. Skyview falls to 6-1-2 this season, while West improves to 4-3-0.

West's boys, meanwhile, scored two first-half goals and pitched a second-half shutout to beat Skyview 2-1 in the first game of the doubleheader.

Rylan Loper put Skyview ahead 1-0 just two minutes into the game after pouncing on a loose ball off a Falcons' free kick. Riley Krueger-Harding would pull the Bears back even midway through the first, and Cade Hatheway would score the eventual game-winner off an assist from Owen Guthridge in the 25th minute.

The win ties West (4-2-1) with Skyview (4-4-1) with 13 points each in the Eastern AA standings, though the Bears have played two less games.
