GREAT FALLS — Class AA soccer kicked off Thursday, and the Electric City played host to Billings Senior and Belgrade to start the year.
Billings Senior 5, Great Falls CMR 1 (girls)
Billings Senior scored two goals in the early minutes of the first half, and then kept adding as the Broncs took a 4-0 lead into halftime. The Rustlers scored in the second half, but Senior matched to take the win.
Billings Senior 6, Great Falls CMR 0 (boys)
The Bronc boys led 3-0 at halftime and kept the intensity throughout the second half, doubling their score for a 6-0 shutout.
Great Falls High 2, Belgrade 0 (girls)
Kylee Tyler and Macie McElhenney each scored goals for Great Falls in the first half as the Bison shut out Belgrade.
Great Falls High 4, Belgrade 2 (boys)
Great Falls jumped out to an early 3-0 lead that included goals from Gavin Groshelle and Ethan Hann. Belgrade's Christian Aitchison scored off a corner kick right before halftime, but the Bison would hold on 4-2 in the second half.
