Belgrade and Billings West met at Amend Park in Billings Saturday for Eastern AA boys and girls soccer matches, where the Panthers and Golden Bears split.
The Billings West girls built a 2-0 lead by halftime on the back of Emma Lensing's two goals. The Bears added two penalty kicks in the second half to finish off Belgrade, 4-1.
Billings West's boys held a 2-1 halftime lead, but a phenomenal free kick by Sam Waller tied the game early in the second half and a penalty kick by Will Mauritsen with just seconds remaining lifted the Panthers to a stunning victory over West.
