LONE PEAK — Joliet demolished Lone Peak in an 8-Man South football game on Saturday afternoon, winning 56-8.
The J-Hawks scored on the opening play of the game when Hayden Ward found Paxton McQuillan on a flea flicker. Joliet punched it in on nearly every possession of the first half, as Ward and Rye Brastrup added big touchdown runs.
Brastrup led Joliet with 150 yards rushing, while McQuillan had 72 yards on two catches. Ward passed for 78 yards and one touchdown and added two touchdowns and 63 yards on the ground.
Joliet improves to 2-0, while Lone Peak falls to 0-1. Joliet hosts Ennis next Friday and Lone Peak plays Sheridan on Saturday.
