BOZEMAN — The new Bozeman Gallatin High School has narrowed its mascot choices down to five finalists, as well as four color combinations, during the Bozeman School District’s Transition Committee meeting on Wednesday night.
The five mascot finalists are:
- Mountaineers
- Osprey
- Rams
- Raptors
- Timberwolves
The committee determined it will send out a community poll as well as a student poll, with the emphasis being placed heavily on what the students want as the future mascot. The Mountaineers were the top choice in the staff poll.
The four finalists for color combinations for the new school are:
- Black and light blue
- Black and royal blue
- Black and silver
- Orange and gray
The committee is planning to bring a recommendation to the school board on a final mascot and color combination by the May 13th board meeting.
