BILLINGS — Billings Skyview girls basketball coach Robbyn Hergenrider and Billings West boys soccer coach Dylan Barnard have both stepped down from their positions, according to Billings Public Schools director of athletics and activities Mark Wahl.
In separate announcements on Wednesday, Wahl said the positions will be open immediately in hopes of filling them as soon as possible.
Hergenrider resigned after two seasons as the head coach at Skyview, where she went 5-16 in her first season and 1-19 this past season. The Falcons haven’t played in the Class AA state tournament since 2001.
“Robbyn worked extremely hard over the past two years to build the program at Skyview. Her time and efforts to work with our student-athletes is much appreciated,” Wahl wrote.
Barnard coached the West boys for five seasons, guiding the Golden Bears to the state tournament each season.
“Dylan will be moving out of state this coming summer to pursue other opportunities. We truly appreciate all Dylan has done for the West High program throughout the past five seasons,” Wahl wrote.
