ARLEE – The Arlee Warriors and Scarlets kept pace on top of District 14C Thursday night, beating league rival Plains in a doubleheader on Arlee’s home floor.
In the girls game to start, the Scarlets pushed quickly to a double-digit lead. Plains cut the margin to nine at halftime, but Arlee dominated the second half on its way to a 57-31 victory.
The Scarlets are now 7-0 in the 14C and 8-3 overall. Plains falls to 4-4 in league and 8-5 overall.
In the nightcap, the Plains boys kept pace for the first several minutes, but then the Warriors raced past the Horsemen. Arlee pulled away for the win, 73-50.
The Warriors improve to 10-1 on the season and 7-0 on top of the 14C. The Plains boys fall to 4-4 in league and 7-6 overall.
