SHEPHERD, MT – The Hardin Bulldogs are the defending state champs, and if Thursday night is any indication, they are primed for another March run.
The Bulldogs used Jason Kidd-like passes from Famous LeftHand to jump out to a 46-17 halftime lead and never looked back as they ran past Shepherd, 76-26.
Trae Hugs scored 14 in the first half and was on the receiving end of some crisp Lefthand passes.
The Bulldogs now set their sights on a state championship rematch with Billings Central. That game tips off on Saturday night in Billings.
It was a similar script in the girls game. Ivery Fritzler buried back-to-back triples as Hardin jumped out to a quick 16-7 lead.
The Lady Bulldogs did not stop running as they cruised to the 70-27 victory.
Marie Five finished with 16 points, while Kamber Good Luck poured in 11.
The Hardin girls are now 6-1 on the young season.
