MISSOULA – Missoula Sentinel swept past Billings Skyview in a Class AA non-conference doubleheader on Friday night.

The Sentinel boys led most of the game against the Falcons, but never pulled away in a low-scoring affair. The Spartans pushed the lead as high as nine points in the third quarter, but Skyview clawed its way back within two in the final minutes. But the Falcons could never take the lead and the Spartans hit enough free throws to hang on, 46-40.

In the girls game, the Spartans once again proved they will be in the running in Class AA again. Sentinel blitzed Skyview from the very beginning, taking a 25-2 lead after the first quarter. Sentinel led 42-14 at halftime. The Spartans cruised in the second half to win, 63-26.

Sentinel will host Billings West and Skyview will travel to Missoula Big Sky for two more doubleheaders on Saturday afternoon.
