Bozeman boys and girls lacrosse make it back to state title games

BOZEMAN – The Bozeman boys and girls lacrosse teams, both defending state champions, proved their dominance on Saturday, breezing through the semifinals at the state lacrosse tournament at Montana State Saturday afternoon. The Hawks boys team rolled past the Billings West Bandits 14-0. The Bozeman girls team also cruised into the finals, defeating Jackson Hole 15-1.

The boys team will now face Kalispell Glacier in the final, who are coming off a 12-3 win over Helena. The Hawks are looking for redemption in the title game, their only loss of the season came in an overtime defeat by the Wolfpack. Meanwhile, the Bozeman girls will be facing Missoula Hellgate in a rematch of last year’s state championship game.

The title matches will be played at Bobcat Stadium on Sunday. The girls square off a 1 p.m., the boys game will start at 3:30 p.m.
