BILLINGS – Thanks to dry daytime weather Wednesday and Thursday, Billings tennis teams were able to gain ground on their Eastern AA divisional schedule at Pioneer Park to the point that one championship is already in the books.
Senior’s Gigi Montague defeated teammate Kristen Kraske 6-3, 6-0, Thursday afternoon to clinch the girls singles title.
Championships and consolation finals are set to begin at Pioneer Park Friday at 9 a.m. If weather conditions force matches inside, they’ll play at the Elks Club starting at 9 a.m.
