BILLINGS – Billings Senior’s softball team started the season 1-3, but came into Saturday afternoon as one of the hottest teams in Class AA. The Broncs had won six straight games and they made it seven by winning the first game of a doubleheader with CMR 5-2.
The Lady Rustlers responded in game two and made sure the winning streak would go no further. CMR took the second contest by a score of 9-8 to snap the Broncs’ win streak at seven.
Senior scored five runs in the second inning of the first game and never looked back as Ellie Ostermiller kept the CMR bats silent.
Ostermiller also added a solo home run in the victory.
The Broncs are now 8-4 on the season.
