GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls High softball team stayed undefeated on the year, sweeping non-conference games agaist Missoula Sentinel and Lewistown on Monday.
The Bison rolled over the Spartans 11-3 in Game 1 behind five home runs. Great Falls High earned the sweep with an 11-4 win over Lewistown in Game 2.
The Rustlers started the day shaky, falling behind Lewistown 4-0 after the top of the first inning before scoring nine straight runs to earn a 9-4 win over the Eagles.
Offense was hard to come by in Game 2, and the Rustlers fell to the Spartans 3-1.
Great Falls High (8-0) and Great Falls CMR (4-6) will square off in the first crosstown game of the season Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
