BELGRADE — The defending Class A champion Belgrade Panthers lost just one game all year, an interclass battle against AA’s Helena Capital. The Panthers took the field at home for the first time this season with a chance to avenge last season’s loss to the Bruins, but fell by a 10-5 margin.

The Panthers were the first team to hit one out of the ballpark, as Ty Atwood sent one over the fence, cutting the Bruins lead to three runs. Capital poured on six more runs over the final two innings to secure the 10-5 win.
