PLYMOUTH, Minn. – The Billings Junior Bulls aren’t sneaking up on anybody anymore. Now, they have to be considered one of the favorites to win the USA Hockey Division II High School national title.

Billings rolled the Junior Vegas Golden Knights 9-1 Saturday morning to win the Liberty Pool as the only unbeaten team (3-0). Seth Hamilton, Duke Cherpeski, and Paul Tevlin scored two goals each as Billings took a commanding 8-0 lead after two periods.

The Bulls outshot the Knights 53-11. Reigan Picicci made 10 saves in goal to earn the win, moving the Bulls to a perfect 28-0 on the year.

Billings now advances to the knockout rounds, starting with Sunday’s quarterfinal at 7:00 a.m. MDT (8:00 a.m. local). They await the second place team from the NHL pool – either the Sioux City Metros (Ia.) or the Manatee Admirals (Fl.).

The four quarterfinals meet in the semis later Sunday night.
