Phillip Malatare, who was named the tournament MVP after helping Arlee to its second consecutive State C boys basketball championship, leads five Warriors recognized on the District 14C all-conference and all-state teams.
Malatare, Will Mesteth, Greg Whitesell and Lane Johnson all earned all-state recognition. Johnson, though, was placed on the all-conference second team. Jay VonHeeder of Plains also earned all-state and first-team all-conference honors.
Tyson Petticrew of Charlo and Kyle Weeks of Plains complete the all-conference first team.
Arlee’s Alyssia Vanderburg, Charlo’s Kaitlin Cox and Plains’ Jessica Thompson were all-state selections for the girls. Those three are joined on the all-conference first team by Anna Sanford of St. Regis, Cory Brodmerkle of Noxon, Lindsay Laws of Plains and Noelle West of Arlee.
