BUTTE — The Butte High Bulldogs made a strong fourth-quarter comeback on Saturday afternoon, but the effort left the Bulldogs three points shy of a win against Billings Senior. The Broncs won 59-56 in Eastern AA boys basketball action.
Butte’s 3-point shooting was on full display, as the Bulldogs hit eight 3s in the game. Trevyn Roth knocked down six of the team’s eight deep balls, setting a school record. He paced the Bulldogs with 18 points. Clay Ferguson added 11 points.
Senior’s success was all inside, as the Broncs did not make a single 3 on the afternoon. Big man Brooks Zimmer made a living inside, scoring a game-high 21 points. Connor Kieckbusch scored 17 points for Senior.
