Three Forks, Big Timber head to boys District 5B championship

BELGRADE – The stage is set for the District 5B boys basketball championship game as Three Forks will face Big Timber on Saturday.

The Wolves advanced by defeating Manhattan 52-35. Zach Pitcher led the way for Three Forks with 10 points. Colter Miller added nine points and nine rebounds. Garrett Duncan paced the Tigers with 16 points.

The Tigers struggled from the field, shooting 25 percent. Depth was also a downfall of Manhattan. The Tigers’ bench logged 26 minutes and 29 seconds in the game, but didn’t produce a single point compared to the Wolves’ 16 points off the pine.

Big Timber squeaked out a 47-44 win against Whitehall. Kell Schwers topped the Herders with 15 points. Whitehall had just four players score in the game. Braden Smith and Max Feight both had 15 points in the contest. Wyatt Alexander posted 10 points and seven rebounds.
