BELGRADE — The opening day of the District 5B boys and girls basketball tournament is in the books, with four games advancing four teams to Friday night’s semifinals.
The Manhattan and Whitehall boys each moved on, defeating Jefferson and Townsend, respectively, while the Big Timber and Jefferson girls each advanced Thursday.
Friday’s semifinals pits top-ranked Three Forks’ girls against Big Timber, while Townsend faces rival Jefferson in the other girls semifinal. The boys semis will see Three Forks-Manhattan and Big Timber against Whitehall.
