The Electric City has the top two Class AA basketball teams in Montana.

Great Falls High and Great Falls CMR jumped to the top of the MontanaSports.com power polls this week, after the Bison and Rustlers continued their hot play in the Eastern AA. Great Falls vaulted from No. 3 to No. 1 after an impressive sweep over Billings West and Billings Senior. Bob Howard’s Bison are 11-2 overall and 6-1 in league play.

John Cislo and the Rustlers have been the surprise team in Class AA. CMR is also 11-2, 6-1 and made its debut in the power polls last week.

Hamilton, Bigfork and Arlee held their No. 1 rankings in Classes A, B and C, respectively. Each team is unbeaten on the season. The top five teams in Class C remained the same from last week.

Billings Central’s double-overtime win over Hardin boosted the Rams to No. 2 in the Class A polls. The Bulldogs dropped from second to third with the loss. Belgrade also climbed a spot to No. 4 after handing Livingston its first league loss of the season.

The top four teams in Class B held their ground, winning out last week. Anaconda climbed back into the polls, replacing Shelby.
