WORDEN – After a sluggish first half, Roundup’s boys pulled away from Huntley Project for a 60-51 win Friday night to move to 13-1 on the year.

The Panthers, led by Kelson Eiselein and Jayce Griffith, scored 43 points after halftime after being held to a 17-17 tie through the first two quarters. Roundup moves to 8-0 atop District 4B, while Huntley Project falls to 2-5.

The Panthers welcome Malta on Feb. 2. The Mustangs are the only team to beat Roundup this season – a 44-35 win on Jan. 6.

Huntley Project’s girls got a key win in the first game of the doubleheader, 50-47, over Roundup.

The Red Devils broke a 31-31 tie late in the third quarter with seven straight points, and never surrendered the lead in the fourth. Roundup got as close as two with under a minute to play.

Huntley Project jumps over the Panthers in the 4B standings with the win. The Red Devils are now 5-2, while Roundup falls to 5-3 with its second straight loss after falling to Red Lodge 45-29 Thursday night.

Columbus leads the girls 4B at 6-1.
