SHEPHERD – Both Roundup basketball teams proved why they’re 10-1 on the season with convincing road wins at Shepherd.
Roundup’s girls opened the night with a 55-20 win. The Panthers held Shepherd scoreless in the second quarter and allowed only two points in the third.
Savannah Wolf led Roundup (10-1, 5-1) in scoring with 13 points. Abrey Garza led Shepherd (3-9, 2-5) with six.
Roundup’s boys remain on top of the 3B standings now with a 6-0 record after winning 60-50.
The Panthers actually trailed by five after the first quarter and by one at halftime before winning the final two quarters.
Jayce Griffith dropped 17 points for Roundup to lead all scorers. Teammate Kelson Eislelein added 16. Griffin Butsch and Tanner Harrell shared high scoring for Shepherd (5-7, 4-3) with 15 points apiece.
