SIDNEY – Class A wrestling coaches voted Frenchtown the No. 1 program in the classification this week. The Broncs ranked above legendary programs from Sidney and Havre in the rankings.
Frenchtown boasted a pair of No. 1 individuals in 103-pound Eli Warner and 120-pound Jake Bibler. The Broncs’ Riley Gurr, a state champion in Washington and Montana, ranked second behind Havre’s Martin Wilkie at 138 pounds.
Walker Dyer, Brody Marcure, Owen Indreland, Blake King and Michael Edwards were also ranked for the Broncs.
Sidney’s Christian Dean held the No. 1 ranking at 126 pounds, ahead of Havre’s Marc Ramirez. Kaiden Cline and Kade Graves were each selected second, Cline at 103 pounds and Graves at 120.
Wilkie and 205-pound Tyler Schaub were the top-ranked wrestlers for Havre, which has won five consecutive State A championships.
