Sheridan sparks No. 2 Helena Capital girls past Kalispell Flathead

HELENA – Sydney Sheridan had 13 points and five steals as No. 2 Helena Capital ran away from Kalispell Flathead 46-18 on Friday evening. The Lady Bruins improved to 6-0 overall and 1-0 in the Western AA.

Sheridan’s defense sparked Helena Capital early, as the Lady Bruins jumped out to a 15-5 advantage after the first quarter. Sheridan had a pair of steals in the opening frame, leading to baskets at the other end for Capital. Bill Pilgeram’s squad held a 25-10 lead at the half.

Kacie Gross had eight points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in the win. Gross continues to add key stats for Pilgeram this season. No other Capital player scored more than five points. Taylor Sullivan had five points and seven rebounds, while Katie Culver added five points and five boards.

Kalispell Flathead (1-6, 0-1) was led by Clara Vandenbosch’s 11 points in the loss.
