CHURCHILL – The Manhattan Christian girls basketball team defeated Gardiner 55-33 Friday night at home. The win keeps the Eagles atop the District 11C standings with a 5-0 conference record and 6-3 overall mark.
It was a close, defensive game early for the Lady Bruins, who stayed in the game thanks to the charity stripe. The Lady Eagles were forced into foul trouble in the first half, giving up the double bonus early. However, they didn’t relinquish the lead, stepping up in the second half.
With the loss, Gardiner drops to 2-8 on the year.
