BILLINGS – Billings Central and Laurel each picked up Eastern A girls wins Friday night over Glendive and Sidney, respectively.
Sophomores Olivia Moten-Schell and Zoie Althoff led the Rams to a gritty 52-46 win over the Red Devils. Moten-Schell scored 14 in the first half, and Central ballooned the lead to 14 midway through the third quarter. Glendive made a late charge but couldn’t climb all the way back.
Central moves to 2-1 in conference with the win, while Glendive falls to 1-2.
Laurel stayed perfect in the Eastern A with a 60-12 win over Sidney. The Locomotives took a 23-9 lead at the half, and then outscored the Eagles 37-3 in the third and fourth quarters.
The win moves Laurel to 3-0 in the East division. Sidney drops to 0-4.
The teams will swap opponents Saturday, with both varsity games scheduled for 2 p.m.
