Conference basketball games will be the focus for prep teams across Montana in 2018, as programs vie for top seeds heading into district tournaments in February. The increased competition means individual performances are likely to entertain fans in the Treasure State.
Each week, MTN Sports will update a list of the state’s “30-point club,” showcasing the performances of 30 points or more throughout the season.
2018 has already seen new additions to the list, including Thompson Falls’ Danny Hoisington, who dropped 35 points on Missoula Loyola in the second day of the new year. Valier’s Colten Curry, the Montana Grizzly football commit, made his first appearance over the weekend, scoring 32 in a win over Augusta. Kalispell Flathead’s Tyler Johnson continues to impress at the Class AA level, showcasing his pure scoring ability with 30 points in a win over Class A Whitefish.
Twin Bridges’ forward and University of Nevada commit Kailee Oliverson, back after missing four games due to concussion protocol, scored 30 in a victory over Lone Peak last Friday.
