BILLINGS – After losing the lead on the second-to-last match of the night, Billings Skyview’s hopes rested on Austin Kethchum’s shoulders – and the 145-pounder came through.

Ketchum pinned Billings Senior’s Burke Keppe to give the Falcons a 29-25 dual win over their crosstown rival on Senior Night inside Skyview’s gym.

The Falcons led almost the entire way. Cade Kay pinned Isaiah Murch in the night’s first match at 152 pounds, one of only three pins in the dual, all for Skyview. Falcons heavyweight Noah Thomas had the other one, giving Skyview a 20-7 lead before Senior started to climb back.

Alejandro Madrid, Cruz Riojas, and Matthew Dewitt won three straight matches for the Broncs to pull them within 20-17. Three matches later, Senior’s Thomas Klepps earned a decision over Jase Rodriguez to give the Broncs their first lead at 25-23, before Ketchum’s pin sealed it.

Both teams head east Friday for the Cowboy Invitational in Miles City.
