CHURCHILL -- On Monday night at Manhattan Christian High School, the District 12C regular-season volleyball title was on the line when the Eagles hosted Lone Peak in a matchup of unbeaten teams.
Reigning state champion Manhattan Christian cruised to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-9 win to finish of the undefeated regular season and clinch the No. 1 seed for the district tournament.
In the first set, the Eagles took control early. A kill by Kiersten Van Kirk finished the set 25-14. She finished the night with 15 kills.
Manhattan Christian won the second set 25-13.
Senior Eliana Kuperus was set up by Van Kirk for the kill in the third set, and she crushed it off the Big Horns defender for a 25-9 win on Senior Night. Kuperus finished the night with eight kills.
The Eagles host a district playoff game Thursday night at home.
