HELENA -- October is breast cancer awareness month and during Thursday's Helena Crosstown volleyball matchup, both Helena High and Helena Capital will do their part to help raise awareness for the issue.
"We have both teams celebrating Pink Night at our site for crosstown volleyball, so both teams will be wearing their pink jerseys," said Helena Capital head coach Rebecca Cleveland.
As a way to raise funds, Helena Capital is hosting an airplane toss between the second and third sets of the varsity match. Spectators can purchase a pink piece of paper at the ticket table to craft their paper airplane and hit a target for a prize, with all of the proceeds heading to Saint Peter's Hospital. As a show of support for the cause, spectators are also encouraged to wear pink when the Helena Capital Bruins play host to the Helena High Bengals on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
