HELENA -- The Helena Bengals hosted their volleyball Senior Day a little earlier than they would in a normal year and capped it off with a victory over Butte in straight sets.
The Bengals got off to a quick start, downing the Bulldogs 25-14 in the first set. Butte would try to rally back in the second set to knot the overall score but faltered, giving the Bengals a 2-0 lead. Helena would wrap thing up quickly on its Senior Day, downing Butte 25-8 in the final set to move to 2-0 on the season.
The Bengals will look to keep the train rolling when they take on Missoula Big Sky on the road on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs will look to bounce back when they head to Kalispell to take on the Glacier Wolfpack on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
