Saturday's four-set win over rival Helena High left defending Class AA state volleyball champion Helena Capital as the lone unbeaten team in the Western AA conference, while the Bruins are the only team yet to lose a match in 2019. Thus, the champs are once again atop the Class AA volleyball coaches' poll.

Capital (11-0, 5-0) defeated the nemesis Bengals 25-20, 25-27, 26-24, 25-13 on Saturday, dropping only the program's second set of the entire season, to remain No. 1 in the weekly polls. The Bruins have been top-ranked since last season, when they won the program's third State AA title and first since 2002.

Helena High (8-3, 4-1) remained in second place, but now shares the ranking with Great Falls CMR (12-1, 5-0). The Rustlers swept Bozeman and won a four-set battle against Billings West in Eastern AA play, and added a nonconference win over Missoula Big Sky.

West and Bozeman round out the top five in the poll, while Missoula Sentinel received votes.

The results of the Class AA volleyball coaches' poll for the week of Sept. 30 are below. The ratings are based upon five points for each first-place vote, four points for each second-place vote, etc. First-places votes as of Sept. 30 are in parentheses, followed by the total points.
