CHURCHILL - The Gardiner volleyball team has done something no team has been able to do all season -- knock off Manhattan Christian. On Thursday night, the Bruins defeated the Eagles 3-1 (25-17, 25-18, 19-25, 25-16) to hand MCHS its first loss of the season.
Manhattan Christian now sits at 13-1 on the season and will finish the regular season on the road Saturday against White Sulphur Springs. Gardiner wraps up their season Friday at home against Shields Valley. But these two teams could very well meet against in the finals of the District 11C tournament next week in Churchill.
