BILLINGS -- Billings Central swept Hardin on Thursday night in the Eastern A divisional volleyball championship to claim the conference's top seed at next weekend's State A tournament in Sidney.

The Rams were never truly tested by Hardin, winning the match 25-15, 25-11, 25-10. In what has been a drastically different postseason due to the ongoing pandemic, Central was given the opportunity to win a divisional championship on its home floor.

"For seniors, this was the last opportunity to play on this court, to leave it all on the court. To know they left it all on the court, I'm just so proud of them because that's what they did," Billings Central head coach Anita Foster said. "They came out ready to play, and they just didn't stop. They just kept pushing and giving more and giving more. Talk about peaking at the right time. We were just hitting on all cylinders (Thursday). It was a lot of fun."

Billings Central and Hardin will both be at the State A tournament next weekend, as will Glendive and Havre out of the Eastern A. The State A tournament gets started early next Thursday morning.
