BUTTE — Missoula Big Sky made the trip down I-90 East to the Mining City for a boys and girls basketball doubleheader with the Butte High Bulldogs.
The boys game tipped off first, and the Eagles built a lead in the first behind an early hot hand from behind the arc. But from there the Bulldogs would take a 33-26 lead into halftime. The second half was all Bulldogs as they would go on to secure a big 66-53 home win over Big Sky.
The girls game favored Butte High, but this one was never close. In the end, Butte stomped the Eagles and completed the Saturday afternoon sweep of Big Sky winning by a final score of 58-23.
