MANHATTAN — Can anybody stop the Manhattan Christian Eagles boys and girls basketball teams?

So far in the season the answer is now. The Eagles from Class C took on crosstown rival Manhattan and won by more than 20 points in each game.

In the girls game, the Eagles won 58-35.

Manhattan Christian junior Kiersten Van Kirk finished with 19 points and 4 rebounds. Senior Eliana Kuperus finished with a double-double, 14 points and 11 boards.

In the boys game, the Eagles started out red hot, taking a commanding 28-12 lead in the first quarter. They ended up winning 62-41.

Eagles sophomore Seth Amunrud had a game-high 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Both Manhattan Christian teams remain undefeated.
