BILLINGS -- Billings West High's basketball girls got hot at the perfect moment on a below-freezing Friday night to rally past Billings Senior 71-59.
Laiten Lantis canned a game-tying 3-pointer for the Bears as time expired in regulation to force overtime knotted at 59. West outscored the Broncs 12-0 in the extra period to bounce out with the road win.
Senior controlled most of regulation leading 13-11 after the first quarter and 25-23 at halftime. The Broncs opened the third on a 15-0 run and led West 40-29 into the final period. They held a 10-point lead with less than four minutes to play before West closed regulation on a 17-7 run highlighted by Lantis' buzzer beater.
