BOZEMAN -- The Helena High girls basketball team defeated Bozeman on the road in the season opener 55-37 on Thursday night. The Bengals (1-0) were on fire from beyond the arc, hitting 10 3-pointers against the Hawks.
Bozeman (0-1) dropped its home season opener but will look to rebound on Saturday as it hosts Helena Capital. Meanwhile, Helena High will host its home opener against Billings Senior on Dec. 20.
