GREAT FALLS — Alison Harris scored 19 points, Hallie Thompson scored 17 and the Great Falls High girls basketball team defeated Belgrade 61-33 on Tuesday night to open the season.
Belgrade scored the first points of the game on an Emmery Blossom layup, but the Bison answered with a Thompson 3-pointer from the corner and never trailed again.
Olivia Wegner led the Panthers in scoring with six points.
Great Falls High (1-0 overall, 1-0 Eastern AA) will hit the road to face Billings Senior on Saturday. Belgrade (0-1, 0-1) will host Great Falls CMR this weekend.
