BOZEMAN -- The Great Falls High girls basketbal;l team picked up a big road win before the divisional tournament as they defeated Bozeman 46-27 on Friday night.
The Bison jumped out to a 6-0 to start the game and never looked back as the Bozeman offense sputtered after standout junior Addi Ekstrom went down with a knee injury in the middle of the first quarter. After the Ekstrom injury, Great Falls High went on an 18-2 run and went into half time with a 24-10 lead.
The win for the Bison was crucial in the Eastern AA standings. GFH now stands at 6-5, cementing their spot as the third-place team in the division. Meanwhile for Bozeman, the Hawks drop to 5-6 and they are now tied with Billings Skyview for fourth as the Falcons defeated Billings Senior Friday.
