BUTTE — Through the first 11 games of the 2019-20 season, no one has been able to topple the Butte Central boys basketball team.

The Maroons are tied for first overall in Class A with Hardin, which also sits at 11-0 overall. But with plenty of conference games left to play, including a Friday/Saturday road trip against Stevensville and Frenchtown, head coach Brodie Kelly and his guys are taking no opponent lightly.

However, what has slipped under the radar in the Maroons' run so far this season is the consistency senior Trevor Neumann has showcased. He knew had to become a leader both on and off the court to get the minutes he desired.

“Definitely being a senior I got to help the younger guys, because it's not easy for them to be up at our practices," said Neumann. "But just helping them out is a big thing for me to do.”

“Trevor is really having an outstanding year for us. I’m really happy for him. Kid's got an awesome work ethic, he’s been committed to his game since he’s been a freshman," Kelly said. "And even last year he was playing really well, especially at the end of the season. This year his minutes have expanded, his roles have expanded and he’s really stepped up to the plate.”
