CHURCHILL — It was Senior Night at Manhattan Christian High School as their undefeated boys and girls basketball teams took on the Whitehall Trojans from Class B.

At one point in the first quarter of the boys game the Trojans tied the game up at 9-9, but Manhattan Christian would go up 13-9 at the end of it and never look back. The Eagles won easily, 73-34.

Eagles sophomore Seth Amunrud continued to shine for the undefeated squad, finishing with a game-high 21 points. Manhattan Christian remains undefeated.

In the girls game, Whitehall jumped out to an early 8-3 lead thanks to strong play from sophomore Jada Clarkson, who scored all eight points.

However, the Eagles would come back from that deficit to take a 30-27 lead into the half and go on to win 69-57.

Junior Kiersten Van Kirk had 26 points and 14 rebounds for the Eagles, and senior Eliana Kuperus made the most of Senior Night with a double-double for the second night in row. She had 12 points and 12 boards.

Like the Manhattan Christian boys, the girls also remain undefeated.
