BILLINGS -- Plenty Coups swept a District 6C basketball doubleheader at Alterowitz Gym on the campus of MSU-Billings on Saturday evening.
The Plenty Coups girls built a 29-10 lead by halftime and were never contested by Park City. The Warriors ran away for a 59-25 win. Sylvie Stewart led Plenty Coups with 20 points and Anonda Goes Ahead added 14.
The boys game was a tale of two halves. Park City led 26-20 at halftime, but the Warriors outscored the Panthers 21-3 in the third quarter to take a 41-29 lead into the fourth quarter. Plenty Coups would win 56-39 to bounce back from Friday's loss to Bridger.
Clarence Stewart and Brendan Falls Down each had 17 points for Plenty Coups. Park City got 13 from Tucker Johnstone and 12 from Austin Dennis.
Plenty Coups will play Harlowton-Ryegate next Friday. Park City will play Reed Point-Rapelje the same day.
