BILLINGS — Kelly Darragh must have given a heck of a halftime speech Thursday.

His Billings West boys turned a 28-16 deficit after the first 16 minutes into a 56-47 win at rival Senior to stay perfect atop the Eastern AA boys basketball standings.

Senior controlled the first half, mainly through Junior Bergen, who scored 11 of the Broncs' 28 points. Jacksen Burckley then hit a 3-pointer early in the third quarter to give Senior its biggest lead at 15, but that's when West came alive. The Bears went on a 19-3 run over the next six minutes to take a 35-34 lead.

The teams were tied at 40 early in the fourth when West went on an 8-1 run, highlighted by a Teagan Mullowney block on Bergen which Josh Erbacher recovered and fired a full-length, one-handed pass to a streaking Logan Meyer for a layup. Senior never got closer than four the rest of the game.

West moves to 9-1 overall and 5-0 in the Eastern AA with the win, while Senior drops to 3-7, 1-4.
