HELENA -- The Helena High Bengals opened their boys basketball season Thursday with a stout test against the reigning State AA champion Bozeman Hawks. Despite trailing by five at halftime, the Hawks clawed their way back in to win their first game of the season, 58-54, in overtime.
The Hawks have a quick turnaround as they'll make the trip back to Helena on Dec. 14 to take on the Helena Capital Bruins at 3:30 p.m. The Helena High Bengals will get more than a week off before their next game when they take on the Billing Senior Broncs on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. in Billings.
