HELENA -- While sitting tied for fourth in the Western AA, the Helena High boys basketball team knows there's work to be done.
The Bengals will head to Kalispell to take on the Flathead Braves on Feb. 28 and the Glacier Wolfpack on Feb. 29, and a win in the first game would lock up the fifth-place spot in the division and be a confidence booster as the Bengals look ahead.
"It's huge, I think, because if we win then we get a better seed for divisionals, and then it's also a confidence booster heading into the divisional tournament," said Logan Brown.
Though, even if the Bengals win on Friday, they have no intention to coast into Saturday's matchup with Glacier.
"That Flathead one is big for us first, you know, build confidence as well," said head coach Brandon Day. "We'd like to get both these going in that divisional tournament."
The Bengals and the Braves will tip off on Feb. 28 at 7:15 p.m., before Helena High heads to Glacier to take on the Wolfpack at 2 p.m. on Feb. 29.
