BUTTE — The Butte High boys basketball team may just be the Cinderella story team before the Class AA state tournament even gets started at Montana State.
The Bulldogs' first-round game will be against the highly regarded top seed out of the East, Billings Skyview. But the Bulldogs are far from fazed by it. They're ready to continue what they believe is an already successful season.
“What you would expect from a Butte High basketball team is that toughness and grit and that fight, so I know that has been special for me. You know, obviously making the state tournament has been awesome and kind of the cherry on top of an awesome season," said Butte head coach Matt Luedtke. "And we thought even though we didn’t have a winning record this was a successful season prior to divisionals.”
